Stockland and British Land lead the GRESB 2016 global and European rankings
Congratulations to British Land on leading the European Sector rankings within the listed diversified office and retail category in this year’s GRESB announcement and to Stockland for being announced as the Global sector leader in the same category.
This is an impressive result for two of EP&T Globals’ longest serving clients and partners and demonstrates their determination to make sustainability a genuine differentiator in their engagement with their various stakeholders by lowering occupancy costs to tenants and reducing risk to investors. EP&T’s clients have led the GRESB rankings for the last 4 years and we remain committed in ensuring they continue to meet this high standard and represent global best practice in real estate sustainability.
GRESB is an industry-driven organisation committed to assessing the ESG performance of real estate assets globally and represents $7.6 trillion of institutional capital across its 58 investor members. More than 200 members, including 58 pension funds and their fiduciaries use GRESB data in their investment management with a clear goal to optimise the risk/return profile of their investments “For a growing number of INREV’s members sustainability is no longer an add-on nor an after-thought but has become embedded within general capital allocation and specific real estate decisions, GRESB plays a valuable role in supporting the real estate industry in this regard” – Matthias Thomas, CEO, INREV
